Our Team and Our Commitment
Jim and Leanne will be celebrating 30 years of ownership, at the same time the store will be celebrating being 100 years old in 2025. Kelbel Pharmacy is made up of a small, dedicated team of 5 to 7 employees who share one mission: to make our patients feel cared for, known, and supported. Many of our team members have been with us for more than 10 years, forming strong connections with the people and families we serve.
Our team includes James Kelbel, RPh, along with LeAnne Kelbel, Kathy Ellis, Danielle Barnard, Tracey Calnen, and Craig Rapin. Each team member brings experience, compassion, and a deep commitment to our community.

James Kelbel, RPh, is the proud owner and pharmacist of Kelbel Pharmacy. A graduate of Ferris State University, James continues the family legacy of providing exceptional pharmacy care in Harbor Springs. His approach blends professional expertise with a genuine passion for helping people live healthier, happier lives. Patients appreciate his friendly nature, practical advice, and willingness to take the time to explain every detail about their medications.
James is also deeply involved in community life, supporting local events and maintaining Kelbel Pharmacy’s long-standing partnership with the Harbor Springs Chamber of Commerce. His leadership keeps the pharmacy rooted in the same values it was founded on: integrity, service, and care.
